As others have said , you were probably caught well before you came up to the Talivan , either be more careful in future or get a GPS system ( speed camera detector or sat nav ) that will alert you to camera locations and remember to update the database regularly.

Im expecting one through the post any day now, I was too busy watching the idiot driving 2 inches from my rear end and looking for a place to pull into the left hand lane to even think about my speedo or to notice the talivan hidden behind a large road sign... When I finally pulled over the left and noticed the talivan, I looked down and was doing (on my speedo) 58-60 in a 50.

I wonder how many innocent motorists he caught that day.... He sure as hell didn't catch the idiot behind me or the guys who speed past the schools on my route to work.

If they wanted to catch bad drivers they'd have more patrol cars, so it's only about revenue really.

If that had been me I would have been well under the speed limit as if I ever get anyone tailgating me I slow to a crawl *.

Most of the clowns behind me soon realise why I'm suddenly going so slow and back off , the others just sit there bright red with steam coming out of their ears.

    * I did get one white van man driver once driving a branded van almost on my bumper , my daughter was sat in the back so I asked her to film the driver on her mobile , as soon as he noticed the mobile filming him he dropped back out of sight :D , may have already had complaints about his driving ?

Erm...hang on, you were speeding, so how exactly were you (or anyone else who was speeding) innocent?
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Im suprised you never noticed the van long before it seen you,but if your sure you werent speeding ask to see the calibration cert for the gun,all speed guns should be re-calibrated every couple of months(not totaly sure of time scale) if its outside the timescale then fight it.

Buddy, don't start that one.... Speed doesn't kill, bad driving kills.

If im running new tyre's and doing 60mph, im going to stop far quicker than the idiot driving at 50mph on barely legal tyre's.... Speed is therefore irrelivant!

I agree with speed limits, but I don't agree with punishing drivers for going just a few mph above it when they don't make any effort catch the real idiots who cause accidents!
These should be the priority! not hiding behind bushes to catch people who otherwise drive very safely!

The guy who cuts me up, tailgates, overtakes on blind bends or hills, uses his mobile phone, swerves or races to prevent others passing safely, etc etc.... I want to see these people removed from the roads and punished!! But it never/rarely happens until they drive through a bus-stop and kill 5 people!

Never understood this argument. Why would the police be interested in the money- the forces never see any of it - enforcement indeed has to be paid from budgets.

In any case it is amazing how many 'good' drivers rack up points for speeding. ;)

The police may not see the money, although they are handed targets whether it be speeding, drugs etc so they will spend the day hunting people down for minor traffic offences to get the numbers in
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

And it's far easier than catching criminals - that might be difficult or dangerous.

I was told it doesn't quite work this way, but im going to say it anyway.....

If they have 3 murders in one month and they don't solve them, then their figures show 0% success.
If they catch 300 car's speeding in that same month, they boost the figures up to 99%.
