Had a collections letter

Following advice from my last post I wrote to Vanquis on Friday asking them to accept token payments. I used the templates from the national debt website.
Today, I recieved a letter from a collections agency, though I think it is still Vanquis, telling me not to ignore the letter etc.
Now Im unsure what to do. Do I wait until I hear from Vanquis or should I write to the 'other' company letting them know that ive offered token payments etc?
Any help is appreciated.

I would wait for the time being as your like ships crossing at sea, you need to wait for a response to your letter.
I would advise not ringing them, but if you want to contact them a short letter sent back to them to thank them for the letter and acknowledge you have recieved it, however you have already made a written request for repayment and are awaiting their decision until you write further letters to them.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
