party ideas for a 13 year old

Please could people give me ideas for my daughter's 13th birthday?

She's not into discos or sleepovers. Done the cinema/bowling thing before.

I tried a search but didn't get any results.

Thanks in advance._party_

We had a Murder Mystery party - set at a 50's high school prom. They all had a great time.

You could have a jewellry making party.

Or make your own pizza and cake party (we have done this one too!)

    Good luck

i quite like the high tea theme when i was that age, you could do it quite cheaply to, getting old crochery from charity shops and doing some home baked scones, cakes and finger sandwiches, not up everyones street though

How about a pampering party. Invite a few of her friends over buy some face packs and a cucumber and give them like a facial. Then they can do each others nails and make-up. A bit of music on and some snacks they will love it.

My girls like going to the ceramics cafe in town and painting their own pre-made, blank ceramics. The pieces are then fired and they go and collect them a week later. They've painted clocks, money boxes, plates and mugs in the past. It is very expensive so I only take them once or twice a year but they do enjoy it.
One party my daughter went to was a swim, pizza and movie party. You might be able to get the kids in the pool for free - you would need to check with your local pool. They then took the girls home and had pizza and a movie that they rented from the library.
I just threw a party for my five year old in which my older girls helped out and one of the activities was decorate your own cake and take it home. I bought some Sainsbury's Basic Raspberry sponge cakes for 46p each. The girls then made up the icing and the kids decorated their cake with sweets. Even the 18 year old enjoyed this.
I would also recommend the tea parties. I inherited a tea set from my nan, and as neither me or my husband are great tea drinks, I have passed the set onto my 16 year old daughter. Since then she has had her friends over most weekends for high tea.
    Good luck.

    HI,
I don't know if it's too late now, you didn't say when your DDs B'day was, but I'll add my suggestiona anyway.

My DD had her 13th b'day a few weeks ago, and she isn't into the 'girly' stuff at all, so we suggested a 'Mall' party.

Basically, we took her and a few friends to a Shopping Mall - paid them into the cinema (me and DH went to see a different film at the same time), then agreed a time to all meet back up, giving them a couple of hours to shop, then all met back up for tea in one of the Mall restaurants (again with me and DH on a seperate table away from the girls).
They loved it!! Most of them hadn't been allowed to shop in the Mall without parents before, and all bought DD her b'day present while they were there. She felt so spoilt by her frielnds and the complete centre of attention for the day.:)
