Letter to Virgin to remove default

You need to go and see a Solicitor and get her/him to take them to court. You can't use MCOL to remove a default.
But if you have nothing in writing proving you closed the account, I don't see how you can win.0 -
Why I need solicitor - can`t I do it myself? I believe it will work with few letters for court action and they will remove it. You don`t know until you try! It will be still cheaper than suffering high APR loans, expensive credit cards and refused mortgage.0

I never received ANY letters from then regarding those £24.
None were ever sent? Or did they go to the previous address when you had moved on?
As said, the Information Commissioner only "recommends" that a notice of intention to report a default is sent. It's not a legal requirement.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Well, you can't use MCOL because that's for chasing money owed to you, and they don't owe you money.
Good luck taking on Virgin's legal team on your own lol
Personally I'd be getting legal advice.0
