Any bug experts out there?

I wasn't sure where to post this but I thought 'Health' as it's making me itch!

I've been itching for the last week, all over my body. Where I'm scratching in some places there are very small raised bumps, in other places nothing is visable.

During the week I squashed a bug I saw on my leg when I was getting up and this moring I found the same type of bug on the windowsill. It's a tiny round insect - when I say tiny I mean smaller than this full stop. Not even 1mm - walking around on the bedroom windowsill. It was brownish, round and squished very easily!

I've looked at Google and bedbugs seem to be much bigger, so I've ruled them out, with a sigh of relief:rotfl:

Any ideas what they could be please?

    Worst case scenario:

Please note this is only a thought and not medical advice. Personally I would get it checked out by your GP, they will be the best for advice/treatment!

I've had scabies twice (one of the joys of working with rescue dogs!) and don't think it's that, I never saw the mites before and there were burrows and definate areas of infestation:eek:, I've just got an all over itch this time.

    But thanks nikki x

Been Googlin' again.... look a bit like house dust mites but they don't bite.

FOr bug queries, try the natural history museum, take a picture or see if they have anything matching a description?

But if its an itchy rash thats not responding to all the usual things (lotions and potions and pills suggested by a pharmacist) then go to your GP.

It may nor may not be a reaction to the bug- did you feel the bug bite? did you see the bug on your skin in the exact same place your itching? it could just be a coincidence.

It could be one of many things, keep an eye on your skin, try the pharmacist for treatment suggestions and your doctor if it gets worse.
