Well I did it - paid the last installement which was charges and fees of over £500 but this means our secured loan is finally paid off in full after about 6 years!! Never again - though it means things are very tight this month in going to scrape by and things should even out again by the end if October

Hi Dottyanne
Thanks for taking the time to post this update. It is incredibly inspiring that there is light at the end of the tunnel (even though it may be 6 years long!)
Although it is tight this month you must be soooooo looking forward to having that cash for yourself next month.
Now you can become an MSE saver!

October is here and both my loans are now paid off in full. That's an extra £400 a month to pay off my credit cards a month0

That's such good news. As someone at the very beginning of a long slog, it's great to hear stories like yours which shows that it can be done. What are your best tips?0

Congratulations, an extra 450 per month is awesome.
My loan also finishes this month, borrowed £5k a few years ago, looking forward to the extra cash to close my credit card.DFD: 21st June 20120
