Is there a way of creating an account with Next online but not having to pay £3.50 for a catalogue. It urks me that you have to pay for something when you might never use the service and all the information is online for free!

No, you have to pay the £3.50 with Next. It is a great catalogue though - hardback and everything.

This is what it says inside the Littlewoods catalogue:

Once you have received and approved you first order (minimum £8) this catalogue becomes your property. The catalogue actually costs £4 but we will reduce te cost of your first order by £4 so that you only pay the stated catalogur price. If you do not order anything we still own the catalogur and you must return it to us upon request,

No you don't have to have a directory. When I have ordered on line I email them to say I do not want a directory. Always get an email back saying noted. Only problem is you have to do it everytime you order. Have you tried ringing to set up an account - see what they say then.

I think everyone should bombard them with emails saying they are ripping people off who don't want directories and they are harming the enviroment. M&S, Debs, Boots etc don't make you have a catalogue if you buy on line.
