Capquest Debt Recovery - foisting others debts upon me!

Sorry, should have expanded a bit more on their last letter, they have agreed the debt is on hold whilst my complaint is investigated (and they have removed my phone number from their DB alledgedly) but fundamentally you are correct - it is unfair that they want me to resolve my complaint by telling them if I resided at an address! The tail is definitely wagging the dog here

I'll send a letter off tomorrow and see what they say!

hi folks,

Sorry, long time no update. Basically Crapquest got a salvo from me following their last letter above and it has been radio silence ever since. My original complaint was due to be answered by 4th Sept and I gave them a weeks grace then went to FOS. My complaint is with them now so i'll chase them in a week or so and see how it is progressing. I honestly dont think Capquest have a leg to stand on - I think they have breached at least seven sections of the OFT guidance and about 5 sections of the best practice guidelines they have signed up to through the credit Services association. Muppets - I hope they get whats coming to them.

I'll let you know how i get on and thanks once again to all (esp Magpie) for your help and advice.

Hey folks,

Well its taken ages but the news is good! I received a letter from FOS the other day stating that they are upholding my complaint against Capquest and that Crapquest have agreed to pay me £100 compensation for the distress and inconvenience! Many thanks to all who have offered their time and advice in the matter and hopefully Capquest wont darken my door again. However, if you are reading this because they have darkened your door feel free to get in touch and i'll pass on any info or help I can.
