Hi there,

I have decided that it is time I took control of my finances and credit rating etc.

I have a default on my report from March 2007 and obviously this has a huge impact on my credit file.

I recently secured a mobile contract with O2. I have no other means of credit other than this.

I'm on the electrol roll and paying all bills on time. I am also proactively dealing with the default.

What credit cards etc should I be looking at to improve my rating, I am nervous over just applying in the fear of being rejected and therefore further damaging my credit rating.

Any hints/tips etc?
