Cheapest place for Organic Fairtrade Cocoa powder?

Greetings,

I like adding cocoa powder to my milk in my morning oats (along with almonds + raisins + flaxseed + banana + yogurt).

I currently buy it from Morrisons 125g for around £1.50 it was £1.29 not so long back :(

This is cheaper than green & blacks cocoa powder but does anyone know where I can buy it cheaper? perhaps buy it in bulk?

Thanks
Rob

Sainsbury's do 'Fairtrade Drinking Chocolate 500g' for £1.68. Doesn't say weather it's organic though.
Much better deal than 125g for £1.50!

Thanks from the label it looks like it isn't 100% cocoa powder which is what I'm after (I should have mentioned that!) instead has added sugar and bits n bobs :(

Have a look on Ethical Superstore. To get a good price you need to be prepared to buy in bulk :)

Equal Exchange Fairtrade & Organic Cocoa 250g is £3.29 a tub but £2.66 if you buy 6.

Suma Prepacks Organic Fairly Traded Cocoa Powder 250g is £2.74 or £2.61 a pack if you buy in 6.

Both companies have good ethics as well as being organic and fairtrade, for example Suma is a cooperative with a very strong social and environmental commitment. I haven't used the ethical exchange cocoa but I've just purchased 6kg of their coffee beans from Ethical Superstore, that's how nice they are!

BTW to save some more money go through Quidco for 10% off and there is free delivery over £60. If you really can't find anything to make up an order then most independent wholefood shops will be able to order in those products, and ethical superstore prices seem to be standard rrp. Quite a few also give 10% off for case quantities so you might be able to get the Suma stuff for around £2.50 but that will depend on how nice you local shop is :)

Thanks I will go shopping, get the definitive price from morrisons and then sit down with my calculator and work out if it is worth buying in bulk.

I consume 125g in 2weeks, so will check out the use by dates.

Oh I have a holland and barrett locally, do you think they might sell it there?

6 x 250g would last you 6 months roughly, the use by dates will be far longer than that.

I haven't seen it in H&B but it would be worth asking as they have a buy 1 get 1 half price offer at the moment and you can mix and match with that.

Also if it isn't out of your way check M&S, I can't remember if their cocoa is organic or fair trade (I know it's one or the other) and they are usually fairly well priced for baking ingredients. It probably won't be cheaper but if you are passing worth a check.
