Just thought I'd share an idea for anyone looking for a cheap centrepiece idea.
Popped into the local Matalan yesterday to find all their garden bits and pieces reduced. These tea-light lanterns were reduced to £1 so bought 8!
Placed a diamond floral light (about £1.50 each) in the bottom and then covered with decorative clear chippings (£1.79 a tub from wholesaler - each tub did about 3 lanterns)
Finally decorated with flowers, ribbon and ivy that was left over from making my bouquets.
Think I'm going to put each one on a mirror plate with a few table diamonds scattered around. I also made one more which is slightly different with clear marbles instead of chippings.
Anyway, just a thought and a cheap alternative to glass bowls. Sorry about the pics, battery running out on camera so didn't have time to mess around with them!
