Hi D2D
I have a business and everybody is having a tough time at the moment, i would advise that your partner needs to sell sell sell! Get the revenue up i know it sounds hard but free advertising will pay off. vistaprint.co.uk do some good deals on business stationery but make sure you go through quidco.com and don;t sign up for any loyalty schemes.
While your not in work you could look at up your income board. There are loads of ways to make a little extra cash. Would it be possible to get extra work?

Hi CCK
Thanks for your message. We are looking into advertising OH's business with a few other local businesses where we live as it's a small community and everyone knows everyone else! I've found a couple of local publications which offer reduced advertising to locals so will get some more info on these and see what we can do. I even advertise OH's business when I'm car booting and managed to give away 8-10 business cards these last 2 weeks. I think we will look at incentives for people to use OH's business too. He already offers a couple of incentives to existing customers but I think we now need to target potential customers a lot more too.
My employer has called me this morning to offer me work for today and tomorrow which is great news. He's also advised that I should have some of my unpaid wages (owed 3 weeks approx.) in the bank this week too which is a relief as we are maxed out on the overdraft and direct debits are looming fast.
In the meantime, I'll keep perusing the job sites and might even have a go at some the local cafes, pubs, restaurants to see if they have any part-time seasonal work as I work days normally but could easily work in the evenings too. I'll do anything to get our lives back.
Speak to you all soon
