Help with Credit Rating

Last year I took out a payment holiday with Nationwide but agreed that I still wanted to pay some off so paid a third of it.
The first reduced payment that was due to go by direct out never did and then later that month I received a letter stating that the account was in arrears and made a debit card payment that month.
I then kept getting letters for the next 4 months stating that the account was in arrears when it was not and after numerous phonecalls it turned out that the payment I was making was being put on the old computer system but not on the new one and it would be rectified. I then applied for 2 credit cards and got refused which have never happened to me before one was post office and the other RBS.
I then contacted Nationwide again regarding the arrears letters that they had sent previously and asked them to rectify this on my credit rating and also send out a letter stating that this was their mistake which is what they have done.
My question is should I now be writing and sending a copy of the letter to the post office and RBS for the credit card applications that I was refused and would they rectify these as being refused. I'm going to get a credit file check but don't know whether to do this now or do the letter to the credit card companies first and then check as I will be wanting to take out a new car loan soon and don't want this affecting it.
Thanks in advance

Applications last on your file for 12 months, and its recommended to keep applications down to no more than 3 in 3/6 months, but where possible as keep it low as it damages your file.
It is always worth writing to them as there were errors on your file, I do not think they will remove it but may reassess you. May i suggest you post up your SOA. http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
This is because, Payment holiday, 2 more credit cards and a car loan wanted, screams to me your potentially going to be spending well above your means. This is a very dangerous thing to do, take it from those on the debt forums, the sooner you budget and look for problems the quicker and easier you can put yourself on track.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Thanks for that I can see where you are coming from but the car loan well its a personal contract plan comes to an end shortly and I will just be taking out a new one to replace the current one.
The new cards I don't need now as i was only wanting to transfer current cards onto 12 month 0% cards which I have managed to do within my existing cards so don't need any new cards now for 12 months.0 -
