Bought my dress whoop!

So today I finally became the proud owner of my wedding dress. Having had a less than successful time in local bridal shops, and toying with the idea of buying in America, I found this place http://www.bridalbasement.co.uk/ mentioned in a thread on here, so booked an appointment and off me and my sister set bright and early this morning.
Arriving in Liverpool we drive straight past the 'shop' because it didnt have any windows at the front and looked very industrial, inside was only what I could describe as bridal heaven. There were rail upon rail of gowns all sizes, styles, colours and the highest price was £299. They are a combination of returned orders, samples and excess stocks.
My sister and I had the most fabulous 90 minutes where I tried on anything and everything that I liked, the changing area being a cordoned off space at the back of the floor, so not the privacy of a bridal salon but more than adequate. I liked the fact we were left to our own devices to have a look through the rails and try on as much as I wanted. Once I had settled on 2 gowns, the owner Angela was on hand to help with proper fitting and hoops etc. It was so relaxed I really had a ball.
So I have come away with a brand new Amanda Wyatt dress, the style is Gwen (I'd post a piccie but dont know how
) which is 2009 collection, but I have found online in current stores, and all for the grand price of £299. To say I am pleased is an understatement, I would have paid full price for the dress in store so to have got a bargain I am well chuffed. On top of this for every sale they make they donate a percentage to Breast Cancer Care so everyone is a winner.
I would hand on heart recommend this place if you are in the North as I would imagine they could cater for most tastes. I was able to bring the dress home with me today and it now hangs in my spare room just willing me to put it back on...maybe tomorrow
Now the only dilemma is which shoes to spend the remainder of my dress budget on, but thats not very MSE is it........

bookmarked the site.
I just know that I want red on my dress, which usually rules out about 99.5% of any stock bridal shops have! I was looking at milly bridal but will try here first!:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

I want a purple dress and have already mailed them to see if they tend to get any actual coloured (as opposed to pastels) I'd love it if they do as they've got some real bargains there!0
