Is anyone signed up with UK Mystery Shopper Employment Agency?

I'm already signed up with a couple of others but don't seem to get many assignments I'm able to accept for various reasons. Was thinking of signing up with these but there's a registration fee of £29.99 which you can clain back after 60 days if you're not happy with them. Would appreciate any feedback to help me make up my mind please. Thanks

I would be querying what they offer that's so different they feel they can charge £30 for it. Sounds from the name that they are go-betweens for you and the mystery shopping companies, which is what they charge the fee for I guess, but seems a little pointless when you can sign up to the companies direct for free!
When you say that you can't accept assignments for various reasons, are these reasons that are going to be solved by another company, ie do you live in a rural area or work long hours, if so it may be the same for most jobs they offer. I'm signed up to around half a dozen sites and I can generally do at least 1-2 a week and I only do evenings and weekends since I work during the week.

I would echo the above.

I did mystery shopping for a couple of years and never had to pay up front for any of the organisations I signed up with. It should always be free. Join a MS forum (Mystery Shoppers UK I think was the one I found excellent) and they'll keep you right plus give you lots of useful info re jobs.

I started doing mystery shopping about seven years ago and fell into a "pay for free information" trap. Here's a list of companies that assign MSing jobs. I must say that I have just about given it up now as the fees have dropped over the years and it is usually just not worth my time. Assosia are more an auditing company and I found them thoroughly reliable payers. I am not connected with any of them apart from as a mystery shopper, and, have not worked with most of them so will not comment on how reliably the rest of them pay.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Really appreciate it. Think I'll give them a miss. Podperson - I work 4 long days each week and on the other 3 days I have my 2 year old with me. Most of the assignments I seem to get offered state that children aren't allowed so that's the main reason really. UK Mystery shopping employment agency state that you can take children with you which is why I was considering them however having read the replies I've had I don't think I'll bother.

Them betting shop jobs didn't last long. There were 71, I applied for one then there were 42. Applied for a second and then there were none!!! Blimey.
