The last time I took out a mortgage the building society did a credit check on me and found I had a £1200 loan with a furniture company. I insisted that it was a 0% loan and didnt think it was a problem but they said I had to pay it off.
Now thanks to Martin lewis I have £12,000 in credit card bills all at 0%. All of it is in high interest accounts and other low risk investments.
If they made me pay that I off i would lose out £100s .
Now i want to change my mortgage i dont want to lose out??
Does anyone have any experience of this and suggest a way to get round this?

At the end of the day it all boils down to your own personal situation. How much you earn, how much the value of your property is and how much you want as a mortgage.
This is just some of the detail needed - but there is a lot more!
So what you are looking to do, can be done in theory, just need to see if you are in a position to be able to do it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
