ring up sky now and cancel it whilst you are in the money saving mood0
-
It might be worth cancelling the gym - a 60 cancellation fee will be saved in less than 2 months if it means you can escape the contract.
It might be worth having a go at the snowball and seeing how much quicker your debt will be paid off if you cancel the gym, reduce the sky to baisc, reduce the grcoeries and get the gas/electric down.
You might find that as you get things cleared - some will offer you a life of balance transfer at a decent rate.
Also how about looking at up your income board, try carbooting/ebay etc to raise a bit of cash.
Head over to the oldystle board and they will help - try eeking every little bit out of your cupboards etc.
Oh and maybe try and set up a repayment plan to your friend? even if it's 10 a month with the understanding that if you get more you will give it to them when you get it? At least then it is being repaid?
P.S I think with careful planning you and your car can get to the end of the month - Moneysavingoldstyle will have loads of ideas for bits in the back of the cupoard/cheap meals to get you there.

SOA

I've been using my spreadsheet for two years now and it is working well, I have reduced the debt by a good amount.
OK, the one thing which is missing from the SoA is the term remaining on the loans. Do any of these these fall off in the near future?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Put aside any pride (after all, the people on the phone don't know you) and lay it on as thick as you like with the gym etc in order to get out of any penalties. I put aside pride and got tearful with a gym and said I can't pay you I'm down to my bare bones and they let me off. OK that was over 15 years ago, and things may be different now, but I couldn't even afford to buy toilet paper at that particular time!
Just wanted to give you some hope.... I am now in the happy position of being able to help my sons if they need it, but 15 years ago I really didn't know which way to turn.
Satchmo xxxWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
