My understanding of the F&F proposal to Lloyds was that they would agree to settle on my credit file as settled/satisfied in full. Did not realise that I was esentially defaulting?£29,500+ of debt cleared Jul 2010 >> Dec 2011.....

I would make sure you get it in writing that what they are offering is for it to be marked down as paid off in full or paid or whatever the terminology is.
Good Luck - sounds like you have it sorted but just check.

I used a guide letter from the site with the correct terms. I'd make sure I get that confirmed though.£29,500+ of debt cleared Jul 2010 >> Dec 2011.....

Update:
Spoke to CCCS today who seemed a bit uncertain on the phone if a DMP was the best for me.
Going to speak to a Scotland specific Money Advisor on the phone on Wednesday re ways to freeze more of the debt and pay it off. Did toy with DMP, which was suggested given where I am at but it is only specific to England and Wales. Possibly a Debt Arrangement Scheme is the way ahead as it offers more protection.
Anyone with nay thoughts on the above given my current situation I'd be happy to hear about. I guess I am currently in self negotiation.£29,500+ of debt cleared Jul 2010 >> Dec 2011.....

Hi cg, just caught up with your thread and saw you're looking at cycling. 3 miles is nothing, even if there are hills! Do it lots now whilst the weather is good to get into the routine and get fitness up before winter. Winter cycling isn't really that bad - you warm up really quickly and riding in the rain can be nice and cooling (!) Only trouble is if you get really into cycling you might be tempted to get another bike (although if your work does a cycle to work scheme that can be really affordable - more affordable than keeping the car anyway)
Go to cyclechat.net if you've got specific bike queries - it's a really friendly bike forum.0 -
I have the use of two bikes currently. One is a front suspension mountain bike and the other dual suspension. Will use them until I can get the Cycle to Work Scheme which would maybe be £8 a month and I know I could pick up a bike in the sale and get rid of one of these.
Hoping to sell my car this weekend but being messed about a bit.
Monday/Tuesday I will be able to see if I might get offered release scheme from work with £26k. Offer 40-50% full and finals and try and get another job is my ideal way out. Something has to work in my favour SOON!
As for the other debts, been selling stuff to clear some negative balances and cutting back on things but it's not made a huge impact thus far. Some 0% rates would be good but my Credit Score came back very poor at 495.£29,500+ of debt cleared Jul 2010 >> Dec 2011.....

You could try to consolidate your landline and internet services (perhaps even mobile too)
If you have three separate providers, call each, tell them what you want to do and ask for the best deal you can get from each.
Then compare those to what's out there.
Do the same for gas and electricity, then use a comparison site.
If you are doing low mileage and intend to keep the car, ask your insurers for a low mileage discount.
I know these are small amounts - but if you can do this, they all mount up - you could free up another £50 a month.Sealed Pot challenge 2011 member 1051 - aiming for £365

Thought I best update things by giving a link to my Debt Diary. That's me a month in and by making changes to my lifestyle without sacraficing too much I have managed to pay £1700 to my debt :j

Anyone got any ideas how to go about raising near £2000 to clear the Lloyds OD or even what type of 0% card I may be able to get.
Still on the agenda is me looking for other job.£29,500+ of debt cleared Jul 2010 >> Dec 2011.....
