There was no indication that these were on offer at all, still marked at £12.99.
I went to the assistant on the beauty counter, as I thought I might get hassle at the normal checkouts.

Ah ha, now I understand. I thought I was just unlucky when I tried this in my local store and they just went through as 3 for 2. However I went in a different store today and they had two different sorts of socks packs: some in boxes, some in packets. So it seems the packets don't work on this glitch but the boxes do. Knew I'd get there in the end!! Thanks OP! :T

The cashier was in shock at first - so I told her a friend of mine brought some the day before at that price and she didn't query it anymore, then suggested it was because it's old packaging.

I tried it today and said to the SA whom I know "please can I have these IF there's a price glitch?" So she scanned one- full price, then she scanned all 3 and the price came up at £2.01, she looked astonished. Then I handed her my card, and , oh great- down to £1.01. She remarked that it was certainly a bargain. Thank you OP!!

Worked in Plymouth yesterday as well. Nothing marked to show they were on offer at all so I was going to return them the next day if it didn't work! Scanned through at £2.01 though and the SA didn't bat an eyelid. Thanks OP!

worked still at milton keynes today 2 boxes of black pairs size 6-9 1 box 30 denier size 2-4 £12.99 each, 3x mint flosser on 3 for 2 at 2.99 had a coupon for 100 pts on flossers (actually had 2 printed but wld only except 1 shame) so total £7.99 and 160 advantage points which was a bonus as I actually went in to get the dental floss whether was on offer or not. Now I can put the socks away for our flights to orlando I have just booked with our airmiles but I bet I forget where I put them after all we are not going till next May.
