Does anybody get their eyebrows done this way? I got mine done for the first time today and although it hurt a tiny bit it was much better than tweezing or waxing and highly recommend.

  • I had my eybrows done a few times, twice in egypt and once here in the uk, it was great on my eyebrows but both times in egypt they did my whole face and it bought me out in a huge rash and I had a few spots afterwards :(

I'm thinking of getting mine done as there is new salon opened near me that offers threading.

My eyebrows are tidy and not a bad shape, would I need to avoid plucking for a while beforehand if I decided to have it done?

I would stop plucking now and get them threaded as soon as you can and then keep up regulary threading treatments. I get mine threaded about every 3 weeks and I prefer it to waxing as I think it's more precise and gives my eyebrows a tidier look than waxing does.

I paid £15 to get mine done and as I decided it was good but not something I could afford to do all the time I learnt how to do it myself from watching videos on You Tube.
I found it quite easy to get the hang of and it's very effective for getting neat lines. I also do it on my top lip (oh the joy of being dark haired:o) and although it does hurt, it gives a much better result than bleaching.

I like to get mine threaded, but don't always have the time or am near a salon. I get mine done by Malika at Toni and Guy who offer a card where you get 9 treatments and the 10th is for free. Its £15 a shot though. A salon near me charges £11 so its weighing up how much money I can spare!

Most of the time though I stick to tweezers and just try to keep up to date IYSWIM! Ocassionally I self-wax (Nads has a great kit for this) but think threading gives a softer look.

Just wish it didn't make me twitch as much when having it done!
  • Personally I Love it. I get mine done in Arch Angelz in Debenhams for £12 and it lasts me for one month - six weeks if I really want to eek it out!! I hate plucking and waxing so this is perfect for me as I dont do anything to them inbetween!

I love it the shape of my eyebrows after having this done is amazing however I too can't afford to shell out for it all the time so I have it done every 3/4 months for the shape and then manage with tweezers myself in between:)

 Can't believe how much some of you pay, mine is £2!! Think you need to shop around.

Am impressed by the lady who has learnt to do it herself, not sure I would be brave enough to chance getting it horribly wrong!
