I've never had a VIP slot with them before so hoping to get one this year (have an account for about 3 years and quite active with it) but can i ask those who had receive one before, how does it work? I get sent a email and then i pick a day and time? What is the site like during these VIP slots? Do people experience things like site crashing due to large volume of people online? Do people often get what they want from the online sale? Whats the best way to shop, choose your bits then check out quickly and go back on to see if you have missed out on anything then check out again? Will stuff go out of stock quickly? Also, do you think free delivery codes will work during the sales? There is a free delivery code on HUKD which expires on Thursday 15th. TIA

It has been known for the site to crash. I think it was the last summer sale where there was chaos after the site crashed, with lots of people not being able to checkout or having their baskets emptied. Yes, things do go out of stock very quickly. There are never any free delivery codes working at the beginning of the sale (at least I've never found any). They even stop the delivery to store option at the beginning of the sale.

Your best bet is to get the stuff that you really want, buy that & then go back for the rest. Last year there was a small TV I was after. I bought that straight away & then went back for my other stuff.

Next facebook page has confimed that all VIP emails will go out tommorrow, its says there is a strict criteria to those eligible for the slots, but doesn't say what that criteria is, I think they are trying to narrow down the amount of people using the internet at one time, maybe to avoid the nightmare site crash of last summer.

It doesnt confirm it will be tomorrow where I'm looking, just says no confirmed dates??

can anyone advise how you get the VIP emails? Is it random or do you get them coz your a super spender at next?

No you don't have to be a big spender with them as I have had invites in the past and don't spend very much during the year with them.

Current criteria for vip invites from the next website

1. You hold an active Next Directory Flexible Account
2. You have received the Next Directory this season and placed an order.
3. Your email address details need to be up to date and be registered to receive sale and promotional emails.
(You can amend or update your e-mail address when you sign into your account online.)
4. You have previously ordered online with us before.
