I'm in trouble
I owe roughly £20,000 over loans, credit cards etc.
I earn £2,000 odd per month which is immediately eaten up by rent £750, childcare £1,000 and petrol to get to work £200.
I can't afford to pay anything on my debts, but equally can't afford to get iva or br as I'm an accountant (even more ) and can't afford to lose my job.
I've signed up for survey sites, am selling things on ebay and have 3 jobs working 90hrs a week (2 of which my accountants firm don't know about).
I'm also doing a small amount of self employed work as a bookeeper and delivery driver.
What more can I do to earn money? I need suggestions from people who've been here. Bar prostitution (I'm too fat/old etc) what else is a good way of making reasonable amounts of money?

Hi lalli
Have you considered a DMP? or at least sought advice from one of the debt charities?
A DMP would be okay as an accountant as is not a legal agreement or a form of insolvency.
Is there any chance of overtime at work and if so might it pay better than one of your other jobs? (without increasing your overall hours).
Your childcare looks high -is there any way of getting cheaper childcare? would work let you work from home 1day a week to save some of the childcare costs?
how old are your children? is this cost likely decrease soon from them going to school?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hello

From your post it would seem your biggest problem is chilcare, crikey a grand a month why do you not receive any tax credit to help with this? ALso TBH none of it makes sense, do you not eat, pay utilities etc etc etc there seems to be a huge shortfall here?"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -

Can you use the templates to post a full SOA (Statement of Affairs) so we can see where all the money is going exactly?0 -
Thanks guys,
I'll do an SOA when I get home and see what you think. Basically at the moment I'm borrowing money from provident, friends and family to pay for the essentials, but I'm running out of credit now.0 -
Are you getting help with the cost of child care? If not would you not qualify for tax credits? Do you need the car? If you can get to work with public transport that could save a lot??CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420
