Should I try salon products again - hair driving me mad!

Hi, just wanting some opinions before I splurge again. As you can gather from recent posts, my hair has gone back to driving me mad like it was when I first started using salon hair care and then I went back to Simple after a while and it started behaving. Now my hair is looking frizzy and greasy again at the same time. When I use a conditioner it makes my hair limp, but when I don’t use one then my hair is dry. I tend to use a conditioner for dry hair because of it being coloured and I think it needs nourishment but then my hair ends up being limp.

I am tempted to go on the Net and order the some salon products again but I don’t want to waste my money. Any advice anyone before I splurge again?

I was using salon products for a long time, until I ran out & had to buy regular products. I'm getting great results from L'Oreal's Elvive Smooth Intense. There is a shampoo, conditioner, masque & serum (don't use that) & they seem to be calming my frizzy coloured hair & improving it's condition.

I used to use salon products, but really resented the massive price tag that came with them. I switched to Tresemme Salon Silk shampoo and conditioner at the beginning of the year when the big bottles were on 2 for £5 and that has proved to be the best thing so far. I'm still using the same bottles I bought on New Years' Eve and my hair isn't anywhere near as dry as it used to be. The conditioner is lovely and creamy - you don't need much of it - and the shampoo is good at removing the dirt from your hair (it's particularly good if you wash your hair daily). I've had comments about how good it looks and even on just taking my hair down from it's habitual clip have been asked if I've had a haircut! :D I like it and won't be swapping unless they change the formulation.

Just using a different shampoo can make a difference - maybe if you have any of your old shampoo left you could try changing for a while? Or otherwise maybe try tresemme or something? I would almost bet that a simple change will make a difference, unless you have any real scalp problems etc.
