Just wondering where people get they're nickname inspiration from?

Mine, as you probably know is from the Fast Show character.
I had no idea of that!

Puddleglum here. Glum by name, Glum by nature. Named after the Marshwiggle in C.S.Lewis' book "The Silver Chair".

I still am Puddleglum - phew!

I know that LJ's is after his favourite dessert, which apparantly he has 3 times a day, 7 days a week.
And Purch is because he has the personality of a stuffed parrot...;)

.. but what about the rest of you?

I named myself after an alarm clock I had as a student that was shaped like a soldier. I bought it because it was the loudest, most annoying alarm in the shop (it played a small chunk of reveille over and over again until you got up) and I promised myself I'd drop-kick it out off my balcony (overlooking a dual carriage-way so not so flash) the day after my last final exam. I was so drunk when I woke up I forgot to do it and kept Generali for several more years.

I have no idea what happened to Generali, no recollection at all. I quite miss the little fella.

Because I was newly single and it was easy to remember to just put the Sue afterwards.

I had been going to sign up with my normal ID which a fair few in cyberworld know me as but then decided to be a little more careful just in case people were looking in that I really didn't want to know my business as it could impact on the site I run and the professionalism of it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
