Recommend a gardener Edinburgh
I am looking for someone in Edinburgh to 'do' the garden - weeding, tidying etc. We have used gumtree before to try and find and have had
1) a team that did a one off which made it look fab however was expensive and in hindsight we should have gone for regular maintenance
2) a guy that came twice, did a fab job then never came back or contacted (think he was only doing this while looking for a 'proper' job)
3) a 'cheap' gardener who we had to stop working and tell to go...after 5 hours to weed beds at the side of the path that I had done less than 3 weeks before (spent most of his time on his mobile phone)
so we had 1) £200+ one off,
2) £10 per hour - got the whole back garden done in 2.5 hours!
3) £8.50 per hour - spent 5 hours doing virtually nothing till we told him to leave
I don't really want to just pick another random ad from gumtree or ads in supermarket so can anyone suggest someone reliable that doesn't work at snails pace as they are on an hourly rate!...we are nice people and will provide drinks and biscuits

Would you consider a lady gardener? I do my own garden, my daughter's garden and the common garden area near my home.0

If you are still looking for someone my husband worked as a handyman for himself a few years back and turns his hand to pretty much anything at all. He would be keen to take this on and would treat your garden as he would our own.0
