2nd anniversary present

Options
So my husband and I have decided that for anniversary presents we're not going to spend more that the number of years we've been married in pounds. So 2nd year, 2 pounds. Any idea? Last year I did a vista print calendar (paper for 1st :)) with photos of all the places we'd been together. Got it for free and paid the pound delivery.

Anybody have any ideas for this year?

Hmm, 2nd anniversary is cotton, right?

    How about:

    • Handkerchief (not very romantic, but could get one with an initial on to make it a little bit more special)
    • Pillow cases (might be able to get them for your budget in a sale somewhere?)
    • Bunch of cotton roses (no idea where you'd get these from or how much they would be, just seen the idea on an anniversary present site!)
    • Underwear (for you or him - yours could be for his benefit too if special enough IYSWIM) from Primark
    • Towels (if you are going on holiday this year, could be beach towels as they are sometimes cheap in supermarkets, etc.)
    • A cotton-covered (make it yourself if you can't find one) photo album with nice photos of the two of you in (although this is similar to last year's present)
    • A cotton-covered photo frame with a nice photo of the two of you in

If all else fails, just get a nice cheap gift from somewhere that you think he will like and put it in a box filled with cotton wool or scraps of cotton or even wrap it in cotton then you're still (loosely) keeping the theme going! ;)

Hope these ideas are helpful. It's mine and my husband's 2nd anniversary this year so I have been thinking along the cotton lines, too.

    Bo.
