80 rather than 60 Airmiles per £2.50 Tesco vouchers

All the blurb on the Tesco website says 60 miles for £2.50s worth of vouchers, but my friend gets always gets 80 for £2.50. He doesn't know why he gets more. Any ideas?

I have read on previous threads that people who have a very old-style Clubcard (or maybe it's the original Tesco Credit Card from years ago?) get a better Airmiles trade-in for their vouchers.

It's not available to new customers though!:rolleyes:

Originally you used to get 40 air miles for ever 250 clubcard points, but if you spent over a certain amount per month on your shoppng you got 80 miles per 250 points. At some point they changed the rate to 60 miles for everyone but those who had been getting the 80 miles rate got to keep it
