Looking for something different for your Hen celebration. Why not become involved in a Murder Mystery where you play the suspects and where one of you is the Murderer.
We send along two actors to co-ordinate events and move the plot along. Each of the guests is given a character to play for the evening. These characters are based on famous people, so you may be asked to come along as Jane "Bubble" Horlicks or Davina McCallgirl. The plot is based around a group of famous women who have been invited on to a cruise by their very rich and, equally famous, friend. It is not long into the cruise when an unfortunate death occurs. Now who could that be I wonder??? You have to solve the case whilst eating and drinking as is befitting a hen night or weekend.
The event works for between 10 and 30 guests although more can be accommodated with one of our other standard plots. Each guest is sent an invitation letter prior to the event explaining their character, giving tips for costumes and what you have to do. The bride-to-be and groom-to-be are interwoven into the plot as integral characters, as are any other facts you wish to give us about your guests. This is a fun event from start to finish.
The event is normally held in a hotel in your preferred location. This can be anywhere in the country. You just tell us the area and we will suggest a number of hotels for you to choose from with prices. We make all of the arrangements including booking the hotel. You just turn up and enjoy yourselves.
The event can be run as a Murder Mystery Dinner over one evening through to a Murder Mystery Weekend starting on Friday and finishing on Sunday. The timetable for the event is decided by yourselves, so that if you want to have a lie in after a late night then you can do this. Alternatively you may wish to spend time on other activities or just relax at the hotel enjoying their facilities. It is your weekend and so you can decide how it runs. Therefore, if you wish to run it over Saturday and Sunday then that is not a problem.

You can be extra MSE & get a home murder mystery kit. :money:
It sounds lame, but I did one at a Mates house for NYE.
It took a while for people to get into character, but it was really good dun.
The host has to know the murderer etc so you could ask one of your hens to take that role.
You'll save loads of money doing it that way, you could still go away to a cottage & get eveyone to bring some drinks & make some party food :j

I did this for my friend - it was a great night, especially as there were quite a few people who only knew the bride - got everyone talking and suited both those who were shy (who could hide behind their 'character') and the more outgoing who could really get into character!

We used this company and they can arrange various venues etc to suit your group. We had ours in a private dining room in the Apex in Edinburgh and with a 3 course meal (including some wine) came out to about £55 per person. So it wasn't that cheap, but we were there from 7pm till after midnight and also blagged free use of the Spa in the afternoon so I think it was a decent deal.

My OH's sister went to one in Blackpool last year which was quite reasonably priced and was good, don't have any links but if you put Blackpool in the search I'm sure you will be able to find it.

    Hi there!

What a FAB idea! If you think your friends might not want to have to act then I can highly recomend The Killing Game. We went to one of their events locally. The theme was a works awards evening and you were just employees caught up in it. The actors mingled and gave hints, and every so often there would be a "scene" to gain clues.

I absolutely loved this and it was great fun! You were part of it without having to act. Which one we did and my OH had to be a character and he found it so awkward!!!
