LOL theres a first time for everything! now i just need to do a screen capture, print it and frame it as proof of my greatness :D

Alternatively, it would make a fantastic signature :)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

forewarned is forearmed and all of that.

Retailer could offer a refund and knock off a restocking fee on a faulty item. If a poster doesn't know that isn't allowed they are likely to accept it as a solution. Coming here and asking what the retailer should be doing for them first seems the sensible option for anyone not au fait with consumer law.

It also does away with people stood in the middle of Comet shouting about how they "Know their rights!!" when clearly they don't.

All the trolls and other idiotic posts aside, the one thing that I've been noticing more and more recently, is posters who come on here, spend time to sign up, click on the email, start a thread and type it out to wait for a reply when they haven't even asked the retailer or whoever!

One today, they ask a question and take time to read replies which is ok, but they find out that first contact with the retailer gets their ideal outcome!

    What's with all the "what-ifs"

Can't people just ring and ask before coming on here?

Sorry should really have put this on the vent board.

    Just for you............

4743hudsonj just how many times have you suggested in all your posts going back to the retailer and talking to them rather than quoting the DSR or SOGA etc as a first port of call?
