Best charity shops in NI

What areas can anyone recommend for charity shops in NI? Which shops are particularly good quality and choice wise? I'm looking for curtains and material.
Trying to do my bit to stop fabrics ending up in landfill and I detest paying through the nose for new stuff
I cover most of Northern Ireland for work, so any areas can be considered.
Thanks all

Hi ArkoniteBabe
I've tried every charity shop in Newry, except the new Salvation Army one near the Brass Money for curtains. It seems to me that none of them have particularly good turnover in this sort of stock. I don't think I've ever seen quantities of fabric anywhere, other than fabric shops!
I know it's not the same, but Bedeck have a factory shop on their premises - it's somewhere around the Craigavon/Portadown area/ish. (I could get lost in a paper bag, sorry). That might be worth a look if you happen to be in the area.
Here's a link in case you are interested: http://www.4ni.co.uk/directory/19563x442x22/bedeck_ltd_craigavon.htm0 -
Bedeck is Lurgan road Magheralin . On the main road between Lurgan & Moira

i have been advised to go to lisburn road ones etc, and holywood, ones in good areas where the rich people give away their designer stuff to help us poor people!love you lots like jelly tots0

Ballymena have a Barnardos, Oxfam, Marie Curie, Help the Aged, Save the Children, NI Hospice, Salvation Army, Red Cross and Heart Foundation. Not so sure about the fabric there though as I have never shopped for it (it's clothes, shoes, bags and accessories for me!!)
You could always try riverdale textiles (on the way into Ballymena from Antrim (Taking the road to County Hall) near where the Rosses development is). I know they are having a closing down sale and I can check whether or not they are still open.0 -
Not necessarily rolls or offcuts of fabrics, sorry, I should have been clearer
I actually meant fabrics as in curtains etc0 -

Although not a charity shop, Bedeck is great for stuff- proper curtains, bedsheets etc. Problems with charity shopping for curtains and things is often when you see a pattern that wont scare you out of your own home, often the measurements are out for the window you want. The issues can be reduced considerably if you have a sewing machine with which you could amend the material to suit.
I still recommend Ballymena as there are quite a few (charity shops) in the one place, which increases the likelihood of a useful score.
Good luck0 -
There are a few great charity shops on the antrim road in belfast, they are really reasonable and the svdp one has loads of curtains etc.0

Hi Arkonite Babe,
I was in the St Vincent de Paul shop in Newry today - it is much bigger than all the other charity shops in Newry, and has a reasonable selection of curtains and duvet cover type things. If you're down this way anyway you might find it useful to drop in there. It's one of those shops that you have to know is there - but it is off Hill Street and isn't far from Dunnes supermarket. I don't know the name of the street it's on but I expect any random pedestrian would be able to give you directions.
BTW their books are cheap and plentiful. They even had some nice Belleek bits and pieces.

I'm constantly in the Cancer Research shop in Botanic. It's got a great selection of fabrics, books and nice little knicknaks for Christmas presents. My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.
