Credit Unions

Where I work there is a Credit Union. I'm thinking of joining but unsure whether I should?

Is anyone a member of a Credit Union? What are the pros and cons?

It sounds like a good idea to join but thought I'd ask first!

Can be a good idea. Obviously depends on the actual place but usually they give you access to fairly cheap small loans after you have been saving with them for a while (good if you have a poor credit rating but can actually afford the loan you want).
Plus a lot of people consider them an ethical place to hold small scale savings. Larger credit unions have started doing a more full banking system including ISAs and even some current accounts.

Have you had a look at the abcul website? http://www.abcul.org/page/about/intro.cfm
