Trying my hardest

Long time reader, First post under this account. Had one before but got deleted as hardly posted.

Just wanted to vent some frustration really.

I have three credit cards. 1 with 5k, 1 with 4k and one with £200

I have finally managed to set out a plan to reduce all these and hopefully paying them off within the next 2-4 years, Was really happy that I have finally managed to stop our over spending which was basically must have things like food and petrol. Which of course we would do everything we could to keep down.

All good you say, well every time I get in a position where my family and I are happy and financially sorted, along come the CSA

Its such hard work, so was looking at getting some encouragement from others in a similar position

I have managed to agree a sum with the csa now, how long it'll last I don't know as just last month they were going to take 40% of my earnings.
I've had near breakdowns because of all this, lost more of my precious hair and I can't remember the last time I bought some new clothes.

Anybody with some good motivational advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rant over.

:-)

Hi, no advice on dealing with CSA but just wanted to say welcome.

For motivation have you done a snowball calculator to see how quickly you could be debt free?

    Thanks very much.

No, I have never heard of a snowball calculator. I shall go look it up though

I like them, they help motivate me! It works out a debt free date, and tells you the cheapest way to pay off your debts and pay the least amount of interest. And it can show what a difference an extra £10 or £20 a month can make.
Look on http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx or www.makesenseofcards.com the second site allows you to post in a budget/statement of affairs and then transfer the data to the snowball.
