SMA Progress

Hiya! Thought I'd post this incase anyone else uses it. Yesterday on boots.com I ordered 10 tins of SMA progress. It is currently on 2 for £9, but boots.com also are having 10% off this weekend. So I bought 10 tins for £40.41. As it is over £40, there is free delivery. And because it is over £50 before promotions, you also get the bonus 500 points for spending over £50 on baby products. I also used a code, but it won't let me today. Not sure if they've removed that code, or if it's cause I've already used it once.
So I got 10 tins of baby milk for £40.41, plus free delivery, plus 1170 points! Plus I went through quidco to get 6.5% cashback.

I thought they weren't allowed to give incentives to buy baby milk? Besides I was told breast is bestYou don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons codes are not permitted on the Grabbit board and have been moved. If in doubt please read this and this for an explanation. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0

Sma progress is a follow on milk, for 6+, so is allowed to be advertised and have incentives. And thanks for the advice, but I'd rather be able to bottle feed my twins than be on call for food 24 hours a day.0 -

Follow on milks aren't really needed if baby has got a good enough diet, most HV tell you its not needed, its just a ploy to get you to buy it for longer. But it is cheaper than normal SMA after all.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

No, you're right, it's not much different than the regular 'first stage' milk apart fomr the iron it has in it, which is debatable as to whether that is even 'used up' by the baby. But since it's not much different, it's just classed as follow on milk so that they can advertise it on tv etc, and then you can get promotions and point on it. So though it's no different than the first stage milk, it's usually cheaper. Plus I get staff discount and clubcard points on it, which is handy, the amount I go through!0 -

There's enough guilt put on mothers without also receiving it on forums. When I say 'I', that can mean 'we' or even 'he' :rolleyes:0 -

Here Here!!!! I am a breast feeding counsellor and women are belittled if they dont breast feed!! I say whatever both you and the baby are happy with. As long as there is a healthy baby and a happy mummy what does it matter??
But back to the thread....... Wow well done!!! What a bargain!!!

:T :T Thanks for that!!! I wish I'd have had a counsellor like you! I tried (and failed) but the guilt was awful with Number 1. You seem really understanding and I bet you are a great person to talk to without feeling judged.0
