MSE Hen Party idea's needed

So originally I was going to go to Alton Towers for a weekend away for my Hen, but it's got to the stage where my bridesmaid is not going to be able to afford it (she's having work issues) so I've decided not to go without her :)

I love the idea of having a hen party sleepover, but my house isn't very big! So I've thought about doing it with like 3 or 4 friends so we can actually all fit in the front room. It will be just like when we were 12 or 13 but with cocktails :D

But I do also like the idea of doing a night out with my bigger group of friends. You know the whole veil and L plates kind of thing :) But I have no idea what to do! Again it has to be super cheap as bridesmaid will be super poor (long story but i completely understand) by this point. Do I maybe just go for drinks, and so there's no cost of food and we just go drinking?

Ahh ideas needed :(

Is your house big enough to have a group of girls round for a girly DVD and drinks night, but only have a couple of them stay?

Phyzelda: It is but my concern would be who to ask to stay, very much like when I was a kid and one school friend did that. Broke my heart, lol.

Im starting to look at the hen party sleepover more and more. I can fit a good few people in our front room if we slept on the floor.

    Now would you:

    a) be willing to sleep on a floor with a sleeping bag?
    b) be willing to chip in say a tenner to purchase pizza, snacks and lots of alcohol?

Why don't you do the girly evening thing with pizza/cocktails/booze - you can still dress up even if you're not going out - and can
still take photos and play games...
and then leave the "sleepover" bit until someone says "can I stay at yours?" or maybe suggest that those who live furthest away
can sleep at yours, if they want? Don't make it like the sleepover is a separate party for "special friends!" but more an extension of
    your actual hen party....

and if you are doing pizza, there are loads of codes for discounts on pizza hut and dominoes, and there are loads of booze offers on -
so if everyone chips in a tenner, there should be plenty of food and plenty of booze...!! yey!!!
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

Yes and Yes from me too! I think it's a great idea, sounds really nice. My mum is hosting my hen party in her house/garden (depending on weather!) but my sisters, chief bridesmaid and I will all stay there.

im loving this idea! me and my 3 closest friends do this every other month at one of our houses so i think for me it would be too normal :( hmm maybe i should stop the pizza nights in then in 2 years we'll be ready lol

im thinkin of going for something ot eat we have a gorge mega cheap italian near us -that way can invite my nans and older family members then prob be me and my sister, mum and about 5 of us head into town and prob fancy dress as im obsessed with it and do it evey bday night out lol

im not into the big arrangement of going away etc would be nice but i dont want to sort it out getting money etc off friends/people not being able to come and ive got 2 small kids so wouldnt be fair lol but then again i dont go out every week so a night in town is special for me

ps. id defo pay £10 in the kitty I pay that for a pizza anyway lol xx

I definitely wouldn't object to sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag! It's quite fun (especially once you've had a few drinks). My hens and I are doing a girly day in and then we're going to pizza express (don't know if you collect them, but we're using tesco vouchers for this--couldn't afford a meal otherwise), and afterwards (just for the veil and L plates aspect) we're going out for just a few drinks (everyone pays for their own, like a regular night out). We'll all club together for a taxi back home and between the sofa, an airbed and my bed we'll all find somewhere to crash (it's only 4 of us). And if I had 'friends' who object to pitching in a tenner, I wouldn't want them with me on my hen night.
