hi
sorry for being such a wimp but i dont have anyone else to talk to.
this morning i received a letter from reliable collections AGAIN. this time was quiet upsetting.
they keep sending me threatening letters ,they acknowledge theyve been contacted my community legal advice who are helping me but still insist on sending these letters:cry::cry:
i have also received a letter from moorcroft saying pre court division. saying if i dont pay by the 7th legal action may be taken.
im in floods of tears here and wish i had the money just to pay them.
can anyone give me some reassurance please?
thankyou mandy

    Mandy,

I presume you have a 3rd party helping you? Just read the letters and then pass them on and ask the 3rd party for advice. Lots of these letters are automated.

Letters are auto generated, may take court action is a scare tactic. Key word is 'may'

    Hello

Just pass the letters straight on without even reading them, when you open them and you realise they are from these scumbags straight away pop them in an envelope and send them to your case worker at community legal.

These debt collection scumbags are all about empty threats and intimidation when in the realy workd apart from taking you to county court there is nothing at all they can do. Dont be scared of county court if you have nothing as long as you communicate with the court you will end up in a much better position afterwards with payments you CAN realistically afford.

Chin up these debt collection idiots want you to fell scared and intimidated dont let the win its all a mind game ;)

On a side note, the dramatic title to your post will not entice people to read, it is much better to use informative information in your title's rather than emotional, then people with the relevant knowledge you are seeking will automatically read.

    best of luck :)

    Hi Love

A number of DCAs have programme of letters. They will repeatedly send out letters indicating that someone is making NO payment for instance even when the person is making agreed payments. Just because they have a list of people owing money, as below target and think frightening people will bring in a few extra quid. No thought to the upset people have when they receive the letter.

Do not take it personally, the letters have nothing to do with your actions.

Pass them on to your caseworker, unopened if you can.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Chin up Mandy, There's little they can do, honest! Stop worrying. Could you post a Statement Of Affairs here and we can see the kind of debt you're dealing with. There may be options we can help you with. But most importantly, DON'T let them bully you, you'll get all the help and advice you need here so stop worrying!! And thanks for posting :j
