letter templates

Can anyone direct me to a site that has letter templates for accompanying a CV? I never know how much to put in a letter, too much and it sounds like waffle, too little and they may not think I have anything to offer. Thanks in anticipation

In my view the whole point of putting a covering letter with a CV is to personalise your application and highlight one or two key things that you think will best sell you to the employer.
I don't know whether template letters actually exist but, for the reason above, I'd say that if they do, they are unlikely to be of much use.
Templates are for standardising information, in this instance that's the last thing you want to be doing - you want your application to stand out from everyone else's, not drown in an ocean of them!0
