The Lewis Group

Hi,
I have looked everywhere so apologies if this is in the wrong place.
I have a recurring amount coming out of my account every month being paid to "The Lewis Group" for about £35 every month. I have tried cancelling this and emailing them to find out what and who this is.
Does anyone know who the Lewis Group is? And who uses them?
Thanks

Havign a quick look at CAG forums, the lewis group have been known to collect debts on behalf of welcome finance. So i would say the lewis group is a debt collector.

Definitely debt collectors, also deal with collection of council tax for some councils I think?
Can you track back how long you have been paying it for?
If in any doubt (and you don't think it could be by order of a court for a CCJ or liability order) I would cancel it and wait for them to contact you.
Then you can ask for details of the debt and proof they can collect it.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
