Debt help with depression

Hi there
I'm looking for some advice. I got diagnosed with depression at the start of the year, n as a result I've been struggling to manage my finances and had several debt recovery agencies harassing me for payments.
Was wondering if there are any good debt mNagement agencies or agencies that deal primerally with mental disabilities?
Thanks in advance
James

Hi James,
Debt and depression go hand in hand for many people, so any of the debt charities would be suitable. A full list is available here - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2077631
If you suffer for other mental health issues, MIND maybe able to help with that too!Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Not that I know of.
I think MIND might have some advice of their website that might be useful to your situation in dealing with your debts. But aside from that I would contact one of the charity debt advisory services
MSE are I think supposed to be writing an article sometime soon specifically in relation to debts/mental health problems but so far its not yet appeared (as far as I am aware).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

P.S. Please don't refer to it as a "mental disability" - that makes it sound so much worse than it is and it's hard to get out of that mindset once you see yourself as "disabled".
I too suffer from depression and whilst it's an illness that can cause me great problems, I never see it as a disability

This is where family is so important, do you have any family that could help you organise things?
My aunt was in the same situation and myself and my mum had to basically run her life for her and sort everything out. She is now debt free
and happy :-)Trying to spread calmness, understanding and optimism on MSE
