EA won't put replaced central heating in description

I'll try and keep it short...
Our house was built as part of a development of about 50 properties in 1987, all had warm air central heating.
We bought our property in 2007 and the first thing we did was spend several thousands having the warm air system removed and replaced with a modern gas central heating system with a combi boiler and rads. This was a big job and involved demolishing walls (the old boiler was built in) and removing ducts/vents and replastering walls where they'd been.
The problem is the EA is refusing to put "fully replaced" gas central heating into the description. They say they need to see the original invoice first as proof. Unfortunately we can't find our copy of the invoice and the plumbing company says they'll charge a fee for a replacement and it could take up to a month to arrive. We have a copy of the 2007 survey clearly stating warm air heating so surely its obvious that we replaced it??
Our house is only one of a handful in the area who have had this work done and therefore we feel this is a big selling point and so we're quite disappointed that this has been left out. Is the EA being unreasonable here or is this normal nowadays?

Tell them you'll take your business elsewhere. Who's working for who here?0

Why would your ad have to say fully replaced? Either the property as warm air heating, or it has gas. Anyone viewing it would see first the details that says it has gas heating, & on the actual viewing, see that there are no air vent grilles & housings.0

This is true but if you didn't know the area you would quite possibly assume all of the properties in here had gas. I've found most of the EA descriptions of other properties in the estate simply have no mention of the heating system at all - this always means it has the old warm air system.
We ideally want people to know we've done this work as soon as they see the advert.0 -
If you are not happy, get another EA who will do as you ask. There are many to choose from."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

People aren't going to buy your house because it has gas central heating when all the others have warm air. It doesn't matter what the other have or whether they mention it in the ad. As long as your ad says you have gas central heating I can't see what the problem is. If buyers don't want warm air heating, they view the other properties and be disappointed and then see that your ad says you have gas and it'll be a selling point. If the buyer doesn't care what type of heating the houses have, it won't make any difference what the ad says.
But equally, if you're not happy with what the EA is doing, sack 'em. They are there to sell your house in the way that you want it to be sold0 -
The EA are just trying to make sure they do not get sued under the property mis description act (or similar). If they put new central heating and have no documentation to back the claim up they could be in trouble.
Do think the OP is getting a bit worked up over nothing though.0 -
The agents don't know the central heating was replaced. They do know it is gas central heating.
Tell them to describe it as it is - gas central heating.
Or if you insist on the 'replaced' term, find an agent willing to write that.0 -
Agents round here put "gas central heating via radiators" on their advert. Could they use that phrasing?0
