anyone know what this means ??

Hi guys,

Keep having this odd dream and its freaking me out lol

As you know I'm planning a wedding getting married to the man of my dreams next november.

Some of you may remember me saying its my second time the first ended in divorce. My XH cheated on me twice during our time together leaving for the other woman both times.

My marriage otherwise was very unhappy I never felt wanted by him or attractive always feeling like I was in his life until he found something better but we have 2 boys together and whilst I considered leaving I always felt guilty and never went.

Fast forward to now things couldn't be any different really I am really really happy I adore my fiance he makes me feel like a princess every day of my life I never thought I would find anyone like him he is a definate keeper we've got loads in common and we're best frinds of course we have up and down times but thats normal.

I keep dreaming that XH comes back into my life and tells everyone around us that we're back together he loves me blah blah blah I am in a room with everyone we knew together including my family (who would never be happy for us to get together again) and everyone is talking to him and happy that we are an item meanwhile I'm crying and saying its not what I want. I want my fiance I love him and I'm marrying him. Everyone ignores me and carries on talking to XH it seems to go on forever and then I wake up.

As far as XH is concerned we get on for the sake of the kids I was initially very angry with him for what he did but not long after came a feeling of pure relief and I've never stopped being happy since and then I met my fiance and fell in love. I just don't feel anything towards XH anymore which some say is odd as I 'should' hate him, I just think it takes to much time and energy to do that I just let him get on with whatever he is doing and I get on with my life I only ever get cross with him now if he lets the kids down in any way.

I know this is a bizare topic for a thursday morning lol but it is wedding related and I am stressing about it

Anyone got any ideas ?? xxx

I think you're probably looking too deeply in it.
Weddings are on the brain, so it's only natural that you'll be dreaming about wedding stuff.
Dreams often reccur (the more you think about them, the more it's on your mind, the more you'll end up dreaming about it)

    Have a look at this.....

I had a wierd dream last night in which I was on a train with OH, we missed a connection, someone stole things from my case, we missed another connection and I ended up at the wrong place without him! I don't really want to look up what that means  :rotfl:

I wouldn't worry too much, the other night I had a dream that OH killed someone, made me keep it a secret but got caught anyway and when he went off to prison his best friend moved in with me to take OH's place! Very odd but I've learnt that the more you dwell on odd dreams and worry about what they mean the more you dream about them, and I don't want any more dreams about OH's best friend so it has been lodged firmly in the back of my mind! :rotfl:

Maybe it's just pre wedding nerves, your subconcious is maybe struggling to make the transition from horrid ex to dreamy 'new' OH! I had loads of dreams about my ex when I first got with my OH, and it wasn't like I wanted to, I absolutely DID NOT want to even see him again but I still have the odd dream about him, I try to make sure that I kick him somewhere unpleasant when I do though! ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I think I can relate in a small way to how you are feeling. I have an ex who didn't treat me well and life was, well, hellish really until we broke up. Then it was like pure relief flooding through me and I knew I had done the right thing. I sometimes have dreams about him where we are still together and I am miserable, and I often have dreams about me dumping him and feeling that relief all over again. It's scary to think that I could have stayed with him if I wasn't so strong, what my life would have been like had I stayed. Sometimes that still scares me, what if I hadn't found my fiance who I love to bits, who is the complete opposite of my ex? Life is so much easier and better with him.

So basically, I think you are subconsciously worrying about what life could still be like and realising how lucky you are to be so strong and to have got out of a bad relationship. It would be scary to think that you were still in it wouldn't it?

Try to keep positive and remind yourself how happy you are. Also, I agree that there is no point in wasting energy on hating someone. Concentrate on all the great things in your life and perhaps your dreams will follow x
  • A classic stress dream.

I had something similar the first time OH and I were going to a black tie event - all weird.

I have had 1 stress dream over the wedding. I am not v materialistic, and just want a simple wedding and so havne't been fussed over a dress, and have actually found 2!

The dream had me at 2.30 (1/2 hr before the event) wearing a horrid coral coloured satin dress wiht cream lace edging, looked like a 1980's night dress, with no make up! I wouldn't have said they were areas I was stressed about, and yet thats what came put in my dream, our minds are weird!

I wouldnt worry - just wedding stress...

Had the oddest dream two nights ago , dreamt I got pink food colouring stained on my wedding dress on the day of the wedding. This happened because I wanted the colour of the rice for the meal to be pink (to match colour scheme) and I couldnt trust anyone else to do it right and I got it on my dress in the process!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Good job im off on hols next week - I obviously need the rest!! :rotfl::eek:
