Cheap sheds, trellis, vermicullite and aggregates

Went to Homebase today in Worcester and picked up a metal pent roof apex shed (2m x 2.3m) reduced from £229.99 to £115. I spoke to the manager and because they were clearance, he knocked off another £20 making it £95. Great bargain.
Also they had loads of trellis fencing reduced to half price.
They also had bags of vermicullite (if you grow your own plants you will know about this), gravel and compost down to 99p from prices upwards of £2.50 a bag before.
I don't know if this is local but it is worth a look.

I'll be looking for a larger chicken house when, (IF), we ever get the housing co-op thing together and move. Did you say the one in question was metal? I'd be looking for a wooden one - warmer for the chooks.
We currently have just 3 chickabiddies. They run round the garden making silly noises and eating all the grass, and they spend the night in a small converted tool-store. It's got a perch, droppings boardand nestbox, with food and water hanging in special feeders. They seem very comfortable and I'm rather proud of my efforts.
When and if we move, we'd like to expand our flock to half a dozen. We get more eggs than we can eat from the three ladies we have already, but we may as well have twice as many eggs for the same effort, and sell the surplus to our friends. So I have been constantly on the look out for a 2nd-hand shed. But if I see a new one at a silly price, I will might have that one instead. Unless the place we move to already has one, of course!A penny saved is a penny gained0 -
The ones in my local homebase - Worcester Blackpole - were metal. They did tell me that the whole range was being replaced and that included the wooden apex sheds too. I guess it is a case of what they have left per store - wooden or metal. Best to take a look and see.
Got to keep the chicks warm for sure! Good luck in finding one.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Folks :-
There are some cheap sheds at some Homebases, these seem to be ex-demo ones which have been collapsed. In my neck of the woods the Altrincham staff claim they've all been destroyed as per store policy. (Hmmm!) White City have got a few smaller sheds (6x4) and a tool store. There are some 20% off everything at homebase vouchers for this saturday and sunday knocking about. My credit card sent me one, but I believe there are others.
I've just got a 7 x 5 pent shed for £100. :-)
Good luck!
