Could anyone help me ASAP please?

Options
Hi Guys, it's been a good few years since I ventured over here, but I really need to help a friend in need!

Basically she paid a deposit and signed for a house/mortgage today, then an hour later she received a call, saying the underwriters had done a credit cheeck on her and have found her owing a 4 figure sum.

The problem is, she doesn't owe anybody anything.

She hates credit and nearly had a heart attack because she got a CC and spent £60 on it!

Anyway, what I'm asking, is does anyone know where she can get a copy of her credit report, instantly??

She has tried Experian but she has to wait for a code to come through and she really wants this sorting ASAP so I want to find somewhere were she can get one in the morning.

It doesn't matter if it costs her, she just really needs it as they have now stopped the mortgage!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help! x

Each credit report agency holds different information as not all lenders report to them all.

There are 3, Experian (aka CreditExpert), Equilfax and CallCredit (least popular). You could try seeing if you can get Equilfax quicker. Me and my mom never had any trouble getting them.

If there is any wrong information on her file, they should look into getting CIFAS registration for their report, which is like ID Theft/Anti-Fraud. More checks are done when doing searches and applications.

    Telephone
    Experian 0800 6569000 / 0115 934 4050
    EQuilfax 0800 0665825
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

Can't she ask the mortgage company what it says?

Has she tried the 'free' trial that Martin mentions http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/credit-rating-credit-score

I got instant access to my credit report this way, printed it off and then cancelled before the free 30 day trial ended. Cost £0.

She has but they said they don't know what it is, just that the underwriters have found it.

Can you remember which company you used?
