Considering bankruptcy

Hi all,
I have been trying to sort out my finances through a DMP however MBNA won't play ball they just keep saying that the offer isn't enough to keep them happy. I have around £30k of debt at present.
I do not own anything apart from 2 cars which do not have financed. One worth 3k the over around 5k
I have just been given the fantastic news that my partner and I are expecting our first child and I really need to get the ball rolling as 1 income is tough enough to bring up a child but with crippling debts it will be even worse.
Do you think it would be a viable option to go BR ??
thanks in advance ....

Hi DesBob and Welcome, First thing make a list of all your creditors, debts and assets.
Secondly and most important is contact one of the following debt charities. Please try these they don't charge and are impartial.
They will go through all your options with you and if they suggest bankruptcy then come back to this board and we will help you all we can. Also if your not ‘clicking’ with one of the Debt charities do try another.
Please don’t do anything rash take your time and weigh up your options and read everything you can x
Please click on Blue links below.
For ‘essential’ info this is Fermi’s sticky at top of the forum:-

More Debt charities also on Fermi’s link:-

And do remember we’ve all been through this and anything you don’t understand don’t be afraid to ask.
Best wishes
