Cancelled debit card-need to make a payment

Hi, yesterday (Tuesday) I had a phonecall from my bank saying that there had been some suspicious activity on my account and that as a precaution they have cancelled my debit card and will be sending my new one and will be arriving in 5-7 days time.
Now I have taken out a short term loan because I had some cash flow problems at the end of last month and all is well now but I have to pay that loan off on monday and should my new debit card not have arrived by then the loan company will not be able to take the money out of my account and from the looks of it I will be charged extra for not paying off in time.
Is this what is likely to happen and is there a way to avoid this?
It's not a huge problem but I'd rather not pay an extra £70 if I can help it. I will call the loan company tomorrow to make them aware of the situation but wouldn't be surprised if they aren't at all helpful.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Can you not call your bank and make a FP transfer to clear it off?
At the time they called me I explained the problem to them and they gave me the option of temporarily leaving my debit card free to use so that I could make the payment early but the money will only go into my account on Friday so this wasn't really an option.
I suppose I can give them a call on the Monday but would have thought if they could transfer the money they then would have told me at the time?
Hopefully the debit card will arrive on Saturday or Monday and there won't be a problem.0 -
Someone recently got hold of my bank card details and my card was cancelled, my new card arrived with two or 3 days and mine happened on a weekend.0

if you tell them to they'll leave your card open for a week or so before the permanent cancellation so you can make the payment, you're the customer remember.
If you don't decide to go down that road you'll need to talk to the loan company to find out how else you can make payment and arrange it via other means
