full and final settlement advice please

Options
Have sent out my settlement letters as per template and had one out and out no, another wanting to know where the money is coming from and to send hospital or doctors letter as proof I cannot work. Do I have to tell them where I have got the money from, it's £5grand ish and what do you do when they refuse offer?

You don't HAVE to tell them anything, though it's OK to tell them that the money is coming from a third party so they don't think you're sitting on a pile of cash.

If they decine your generous offer, you can let them know that you are offering the money to another creditor. Then make them sweat for a few months before making the same offer again

No you do not have to tell them anything.

Your best thing to do is write into settlement offers its coming from a family member who is offering to help, and that if refused it will be offered to other creditors.

In you case the letters have been sent already so it won't help. I think it maybe best to simply write back saying that you have not received confirmation of their acceptence to your offer of XXX. If you do not hear back with acceptence within 14 days of this letter it will be offered to other creditors. If they get in a huff about anything, you can simply write back saying that they never gave written acceptance of the offer and as such the funds have now been made available to another creditor (even if they haven't). Then try sending them a new offer in 3/6/12 months time.
