Ok so I emailed cushelle yesterday morning as I hadn't had the teddy I won in May - and good on them it turned up in the post today!!

Also had another puddle puppy - this time with a book - unexpected win.

Also 2 x tickets for goodwood festival of speed - for TOMORROW!!
That's ridiculous - it means i'd have to literally call into work from the festival to tell them I won't be in!! Which i'd probably get the sack for.

Have emailed to complain.

Anyone else had this?

Its annoying when companies do that. I had tickets to a golf tournament delivered the day before it started last month. I would have loved to go but I had made plans and it was too last minute to re-arrange. Luckily someone else made good use of them in the end but it took some of the fun out of the win.

Yes. Just got home from work to find tickets, hubbie really excited until we realised they're for tomorrow, can't even send them on as it's so late!! Bit disappointing, trying to work round it but don't think we'll get there.

Glad Im not the only one!!! I've had an email today saying Ive won two tickets and they are in the post - they arent even with me as yet. My post doesnt come til around 1pm so we would never make it even if we could suddenly get a day off work!!!

Its absolutely ridiculous. I emailed to complain and was told they could "maybe" arrange for us to pick up the tickets at Goodwood but we can't go tomorrow anyway!!!

Going to try contacting Goodwood themselves tomorrow to see if they will do anything but probably not!

Edit - Thanks to Weeowen for posting. Would have loved to go if we had had more notice!!!! or received the tickets and been able to pass them on!!

yep, same here. I'd love to go to Goodwood! Went a few years ago, and was fab.. Just can't get a day off, with no notice! Shame!

It is such a shame that so many companies leave it till the last minute so the chances of you even being able to go are so small.

This happened to me today too !! lol

2 tickets to Goodwood for tomorrow - a bit more notice and we could have gone but DH has to work and we have 3 kids to arrange care for.

I tried to find someone who could have them but it was too late for everyone - even a friend who lives near Goodwood !!

Got some as well, and they arrived today. Evidently they are for the Thursday as the competition was for the "Moving Motor Show" and they are worth £20 each. There is a lot going on, but its not quite as good as the other three days.

I have given them to my son and his wife as they are on holiday this week.

Unfortunately it's often the case with competitions for tickets. Some of them even phone you on the day for an event that evening! However considering the end date for these comps was yesterday surely it was always obvious you wouldn't have much notice as it does state that the tickets are for today (1st)??

it is annoying when this happens but companies do it to stop the winner selling the tickets on for a lovely price. we have had loads we couldnt go to as we didnt have the time to get there.
