Yeah, it's just gutting really that some stuff *should* fit but doesn't because the weight does go on evenly...it takes up to a year to settle.

Added a faux fur vest to my outfit :)

    Hello you stylish lot!

DB, I'm SO GLAD you're home! Funnily enough the day you texted me I had been planning to text you, then as I new I was getting online again I thought I'd wait and surprise you all!

And I am back! And desperately in need of the discipline of the thread. For example today I'm in black tracksuit trousers, and a hoody with no make up and hair scraped up. Its just too cold to consider taking clothes off to get changed!

Its all pretty hard work here, and the ''nice'' bits are proving really hard. We've been trying to choose an exterior paint for the garden walls and buildings and just keep faltering with the choice: we've got so practical and prosaic that the ''fluffy'' visual stuff seems so much harder but we see no reason not to have pretty farm buildings as we have to look at them all the time and much like getting dressed, surroundings influence how you feel so much!

So now I'm back on line I'm going to make an effort to do much better!

Lost!!!!!! I've been wondering how you've been getting on! Are you settled into the house ok now?

Laura - get ruthless and just ebay most of it. It can't be that helpful to hang onto stuff that doesn't make you feel good, especially at this stage. Get some dosh from selling things and then shop for lovely new stuff :D

    Hi girls!

Yes, we're settled in....its still chaotic, but think it will be for few years. We only have one roof leak, which is better than planned, but the woodburner (fairly newly fitted by previous owner and what we hoped might keep us something like defrosted this winter, was declared unsafe by the chimney sweep. I have someone coming today to see if they can tickle the boiler into life. We've both coped with no heating before, and don't like overheated houses, but my thyroid wasn't an issue then: I'm always cold now!

    Morning,

Great to hear from you, Lost. Good luck with the boiler today.

Lounging in bed as it's a local bank hol here. Have put central heating on but the bedroom heater's not working. Hmmm.

Thinking of going to see Eat Pray Love (although it's not getting good reviews). Will be a jeans and jumper day (again!).

    xx

    Morning all!

Great to see you on the thread again, Lost!
Alex, hope you had a wonderful trip. Do hope you blog it.
Daisy, just be ruthless and stick everything on eBay/blog sale it. Better to have a couple of things that fit and you feel good in.

It's flipping freezing here, our roof's sprung a leak but the roofers can't get up there as it's too slippy to contemplate at the moment.

    Today's outfit is:
Emerald statement shouldered top (Car Boot)
Vintage cord maxi skirt (via a rather marvellous friend)
Tan leather platform ankle boots (Faith via local market)
    Heaps of ethnic jewellery (India)

Lots of parcels to wrap and stuff to photograph/list. Catch you later. xxx

That must have been one of the most irritating, self-indulgent and idiotic books I've ever read. Lots of the US bloggers loved the film, and reckoned Julia Roberts added some charisma. I suppose the only for me is that all three locations are places I've visited.

Haha, I felt the same about the book. Totally. I'm glad I'm not the only person to admit this sacrilege ;)
