Comfortable sofabed

Please can anyone recommend a reasonably priced sofabed which would be suitable for use both as an everyday sofa and as a bed?
We might need to use it as a bed for extended stays by visitors. The visitors might be couples or my elderly father (therefore we need a bed that requires no gymnastics to get in and out!)?
The ones I have seen look so flimsy, I would be worried they might collapse!
Thanks.

To be quite honest you'd be better off trying them out personally. That way you'll know exactly what you're getting.
Have a look at these selections from The Futon Company and B&Q both of which have branches across the UK. Mind you they're not particularly cheap.

If you prefer to buy online then Tesco have this one in their sale which is available in other colours.

Thanks Coopdivi.
I like the look of the Solid Oak Sofa Bed from the futoncompany - but, as you say, it is not particularly cheap. It looks more like a real bed than the others though. I don't think my father would be able to climb into the other type (those that have sides like a mini-cot).
Has anybody tried one of those? It looks good and claims to be suitable for everyday use as both a bed and a sofa - does anyone know if that is true?0 -
I hadn't thought of getting a futon, but Coopdivi's post got me thinking... I looked around the web and found this one, in the sale at BestPriceBeds:

Kyoto Memphis Solid Wood Futon
http://www.bestpricebeds.co.uk/
It was about half the price of the one from the futon company, included free delivery, and I think it is even nicer. It looks like a proper sofa when up, and makes a solid double bed when opened out. My sister slept on it, and said it was very comfortable.
So thanks for the idea!
