I called Triton Credit Services this morning regarding a 20k debt I owe to Natwest for a professional training loan + overdraft and they told me that the debt was in the process of being written off. I asked the guy what this means, and he said that it will just go as a bad marker against your name, ut other than that you won't owe us anything.
This seems kinda unreal...can anyone elaborate?

w/o their system and sold on. So you wont owe natwest but the new owner0

Hmmm, so you're saying that I'll get letters soon from someone else asking for the money?0
-
That's probably right.
They wouldn't write-off a debt like that - they'll be getting something for it.
Are you in a position to make a reduced settlement offer? They may accept this rather than take a lower payment from a DCA that buys it.After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

How long have you been dealing with Triton?I'm a...I'm a real traditionalist of course0

No, I'm not in that position unfortunately.0

Ah, was wondering as I'm also paying back a large Natwest debt via Triton and have been for a while. They're not the first RBS DCA to administer my account and I'm wondering if they're passing a few accounts onto yet another 'new' DCA.I'm a...I'm a real traditionalist of course0
