Apparently I qualify through NI contributions over past 2 years for contribution based JSA. Can I still claim this even though I am only planning to look for part-time work (20-25hrs per wk).
I have it in my head from somewhere that I can't claim unless I'm looking for 37hrs per week.

Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Yes you can claim, even if you're only looking for part time work - many people claim with no intention of looking for work but that's an entirely different thread -lol.
You've paid in so take advantage of what you've paid for and what you're rightly entitled to claim.0
